I was born in Scarborough, North Yorkshire where I attended the local comprehensive school.

At sixteen I started my apprenticeship in the glass and glazing industry. I completed a business and management course at Scarborough Technical College before moving to Bournemouth and setting up my own double-glazing replacement and repair business.

I moved to Verwood in 2007 with my wife Ann and our three children. Two of my children attended Emmanuel Middle School. I had been involved with Verwood Scouts for several years, I am a volunteer at Verwood Youth Centre and I am also a Member of Verwood Rotary.

Verwood, in my opinion, is a safe and friendly Town in which to raise a family. I would like to help the Town Council and Community keep it that way and serve them to the best of my ability.

In 2008, I moved from Southampton to Three Legged Cross, and then to Verwood in 2015. My three children all did very well at the local schools and have subsequently gone on to make successful lives of their own, of which I am very proud.

I have been a keen volunteer all my life and when I lived in Southampton, I successfully campaigned for a new play area.

I have been on the governing body of Three Legged Cross First and Nursery School since 2009, and was also part of the team that set up the Three Legged Cross Solar Fund.

I feel privileged to live in this area, and now that my youngest has gone off to university, I’m looking forward to doing what I can to help at the Town Council.
