I have lived in Verwood since I was born in 1983 and now live with my partner who has also lived in Verwood all his life. We were both educated at Hillside, Emmanuel and then Q.E.

I have been a member of many community groups including Brownies, Guides, Verwood Concert Brass, The Pantomime Society and Verwood Town Netball club for which I was a committee member for several years but unfortunately I was forced to ‘retire’ due to injury.

Through working at Bradfords Building Supplies in Verwood for 10 years I gained a real sense of the community that lives and works in and around the town.

Having lived here for so long I have witnessed a lot of change and I was motivated to become a councillor to help ensure that further developments and improvements reflect the needs and vision of Verwood’s residents.

I was born in Scarborough, North Yorkshire where I attended the local comprehensive school.

At sixteen I started my apprenticeship in the glass and glazing industry. I completed a business and management course at Scarborough Technical College before moving to Bournemouth and setting up my own double-glazing replacement and repair business.

I moved to Verwood in 2007 with my wife Ann and our three children. Two of my children attended Emmanuel Middle School. I had been involved with Verwood Scouts for several years, I am a volunteer at Verwood Youth Centre and I am also a Member of Verwood Rotary.

Verwood, in my opinion, is a safe and friendly Town in which to raise a family. I would like to help the Town Council and Community keep it that way and serve them to the best of my ability.
